Welcome to the Video Game Challenge for April 2024! This month we’re going to be inspired by the delightfully round and adorable, Kirby! Wyatt thinks this guy is THE CUTEST. And he’s one of his favorite characters to play in Super Smash Brothers. I chose to use Kirby’s Return to Dreamland as the game of choice for the fun (and VERY different from the last two months) color scheme! 

Here’s our color palette! 



Again, we will have two options for your project(s) with an opportunity for a BONUS entry if you use both on a single project. 

Option 1: Use the above color palette for your project. You will need to include at least (3) of the featured colors. Other colors are permitted, but the color palette should be the focus. 

Option 2: It’s my understanding that Kirby loves to EAT. So create a project with an emphasis on food! The entire layout does not need to be centered on food, but should be more than an afterthought with an embellishment if that makes sense! 

For my layout, I combined the two choices using photos from my niece’s 6th birthday party. I have a photo of getting ready to eat birthday cake and of course the color scheme! I also used this month’s single page sketch (designed by me!) for my design. 




The Fine Print
1. New Projects Only. Open to both paper & digital, single or double page layouts and cards.
3. Limit of (3) entries per Cherry.
4. Can be combined with (1) other monthly challenge.

If you include cheese with the wine, sure! I'm going to say no to anything that's just a beverage though.

I used Option 1 the color pallette, I think I got all the colors there. The background paper actually looks like a color pallette and somehow I made it work with a boy page lol. Combined with the Music challenge.

Here's my first one using the color palette.  I didn't use the purple, but there are the 2 shades of pink, red, and gray/white. Combined with sketch with a twist challenge.
